dull

wow, this time i really havent blogged in such a long time. of course, the reason is still that i have no modem. Well...i technically do have one, but its ancient and i haven't attempted to connect my wi-fi router and blah blah.
i miss my xbox live games and lap top usage at home.

anywhoo, getting on with it. Nothing interesting has really been going on in my life.
I wake up 4 days a week to go hustle at school, and the rest i spend working at the block (thank the economy that we close at 11pm now!) and doing homework. also, im back to being broke again.
i honestly shouldn't spend my money so quickly. idk where the hell it all goes.

One of the things i am most definetly looking forward to is April 3rd. it's right around the corner!
Paid dues! Can't wait to take that road trip, meet up with friends and listen to some good music.

in the famous words of ice cube..."yay-yay!" hahah!!

well, i wish i had something more interesting to blog about, but at the time i dont.
plus my class is almost over. so once again i promise, a more interesting topic is up ahead.

peace out

fuck punctuation

Geez, it has been forever since i have blogged. One reason is because I have once again started school. and yes I was right. its only a couple of weeks into the semester and already my laziness and ADD have kicked into effect. whatevers though, I am still happy to be in school and up and about. The other main reason is because I need a new modem. Damn ATnT for their retarded internet service.
Moving on.
It's a Saturday night, almost 8:00pm and i couldn't be happier to be home. I was a tad bit hung over at work today, and i worked more than 8 hours...ugh. Not only that, the world is pretty damn terrifying right now. Chile suffered the most horrendous earthquake ever recorded, We're having a mega storm and to top it off we have T-sunami and earthquake warnings here...
IN CALI!!
not cool.
I really feel for all the people in Chile right now. I mean, can you imagine. You're going about your day as if nothing can go wrong, working, driving taking a walk, watching t.v. and baam!! 8.0 earthquake hits and your life and country is destroyed.
Very cliche to say, but life is extremely short and unpredictable. you really never know what the hell is going to happen.
My nerves are just completely out of wack, nothing we can do to stop what may be coming, the earth's health is deteriorating. eeeesh.
Let me change the subject. PLEASE. To a lighter note or I totally will not sleep at night.
your probably wondering why I am hung over. Well I went out with my sister last night and It was actually quite fun. Me and my sister don't get out much, and we had a lot of fun because for once she was in the mood to really let go and have fun.
Me and my sister (along with her co workers) were drinking straight shots of Jaigermeister.
Jaigermeister is like the pain killer of alcohol. I LOVED IT. it went down smooth and brought out the funny social pearl everyone loves. haha.
It was like a blurry night of fun.
I remember talking to the band-members, playing thier piano
trying to sneak in through the back door of the place.
DAVID WOLF!
My sisters gay friend telling me to stick my finger into an electric socket...
AND ME DOING IT!
hahah!
becoming best friends with my sisters co workers
being in ""jail""
ugh...but this morning i felt like i was pooping out the concentrated shots of Jaiger. haha yea gross, i know.
I woke up tired and mega thirsty...
I told my sister that i woke up at 4 in the morning feeling like Deebo from the movie Friday and drank out of this giant jack in the box soda i had near my bed. haha bad choice.
Anywhoo, thats my blog, I'll try my damn hardest to get a new modem because i cant live without my real internet.
Remember that life is short. And although I may be fearing for my life right now, I had a lot of fun last night.
Peace out

microcomputer

Other than the fact that I've been too lazy to blog, I haven't had a lot going on lately.
No interesting topics or anything even worthy of writing down.
But here I am. I haven't left.

So today was the first day of Spring semester, and I am glad to be back in school.
I was starting to go a tad bit crazy.
I am soo glad that I was responsible enough this semester to register early for my classes. Shit is really getting hectic in the California school system. No joke. The classes were OVERLY packed! students and teachers were not happy. Not only are the semesters and classes being cut, but the teachers hours are being cut. sheeesh!

Moving on, I've been in school for a while, but this is the first semester where I am attempting to be a full time student.
I am taking 12 units, and am starting a busy semester.
so maybe its not tooooooo bad that I'm not working so many hours,
well...not really, but I guess things happen for a reason. I do need to focus more in school.

One thing I love about being back in school is people watching.
Human behavior is fascinating, and watching them react to such an event as "the first day of school" is quite interesting.

The first day of school is always more over-crowded than usual and is filled with all types of new comers and weirdos.

Some of the people that are very distinguished are the 18 year olds that just graduated High School.
They still tend to form cliques, over dress, and always look a little lost.
They talk and giggle during class, and some are even immature enough to attempt to become the class clown. Extremely disruptive and disrespectful to the teacher as well as the real students. Annoying.
I know I should cut the youngins some slack, but the heard will thin out as the semester progresses.

Aside from the youngsters, I saw the douchiest of the douches walking around campus today.
Some freak show with long curly hair decided to wear a BRIGHT yellow suit.
no seriously it was beyond bright neon in the sun! he topped it off with big mirror aviator glasses and was seriously walking around with some sense of smurky confidence.
This may sound a bit racist, but he wasn't black. (hahah) he was a skinny scrawny white guy, what a douche.
I know even mentioning this guy in my blog is giving him totally what he wanted, attention but man...what a douche! (haha) I can't say it enough.

All in all, it was a really good day, I like my classes and the teachers seem really great.
I was reviewing the class I have tomorrow (Tues, Thurs) and I saw that it was concepts in information systems, and I read that It involved an introduction to software and microcomputer, and I realized that the class sounded like something that will fry my attention span....shit balls, what the hell did I sign myself up for....

The List

Okay, this blog is a little different. I actually have something to write about.
Usually its just me being bored and talking out of my ass (as usual)

In my last blog, I wrote about concerts and mentioned my list. Which got me thinking.
The so called list, is a mental list, and it would be quite a great a idea to actually sit down and write about what artists I've experienced live.
so here goes...

The first concert I ever attended is weird and might make me sound like some paisa. but hey, I knew the rapper Jae-P and I was actually just there for support.

So first up on my list is Jae-p, Akwid, Jennie Rivera, and the late Adan Sanchez.
The funny thing about this is that I had absolutely no clue who these people were. I would tap my friend on her shoulder and ask..."who is that?" as the crowd went wild.

hey, they're actual artist, so it's only fair that I include them.

My second and actual dope show was a Psycho Realm show. This show is what made me fall in love with the underground hip hop scene.
It was absolutely the best experience. FRONT ROW! and as much as it should of bothered me that I kept getting hit by the mic cords, or the rapper spit and sweat that was landing on me, or that I actually in all honesty, bumped into Sick Jacken's crotch; it didn't.
That night some real underground rapper, I sadly cannot remember his name, put the mic up to my mouth to sing along with him. And in my squeekiest voice I yelled "LICK PUSSY, LICK PUSSY!"
(haha) best shit ever.
This was a show soo dope, that I have repeatedly gone to psycho realm shows and hope to go to many more.

Through many shows the list has grown.
Immortal Technique, Mal Verde, Delinquent Habits.

My most favorite of the shows. The event I wait for every Year: Rock the Bells

Wu tang clan has been at the very top of my list, and I luckily have been fortunate enough to see all 8 of them perform. 8 of course because ODB is now RIP. (but his tribute was just as great)

although arriving late and missing many artist, I am able to say that i have seen
Public enemy( yes including Flava Flave) The Roots, Nas, and Cypress Hill

Cypress Hill live is (for lack of better word) THE SHIT. They are just extremely chill and the crowd goes entirely up in smoke. They broke out the giant bong and I think everyone within a 5 mile radius was high due to contact smoke! (haha)
a definate must to experience, especially when they bring out the classic songs like Dr. Green Thumb, or Hits from the bong.

BUT. no matter how dope it was to see these performers, I was anxious. Anxious to see my beloved Wu-tang clan. So although I was enjoying the show, I must admit I was anxious for them to GET THE HELL OFF THE STAGE! hahah BRING OUT THE WUU!

My life was complete when the stage went dark, and the only thing that was lit, was the Shaolin temple and the show begins "Wu tang clan aint nut'in to fuck with! Wu tang clan aint nut'in to fuck with!" I can honestly die happy now (haha)

After Wu tang was finished I was absolutely fortunate to see some legends. Most people will not ever get to experience them again for a LONG time. RAGE against the machine!
Awesome show! To actually get to see Zack de la rocha!(he totally almost fell) and my absolute favorite guitarist: Tom Morello (how I wish I was his guitar) haha!!

I know I may be getting a little carried away and this blog may be running too long, so I'll start cutting it short.

The last show I went to was the 2009 Rock The Bells Launch party. This was a total suprise. I actually WON the tickets on Myspace! The most unique part about this show was that I had absolutely no idea who was going to be performing.
This night was a night that made many of my dreams come true.
I was able to experience Nas, himself, Performing his Illmatic hits! I got to see Damien Marley,
Tech n9ne, Reakwon(littlechubbysunofagun) Fatlip and this is of course the night I experienced KRS-ONE. Once again I was front row(of course) and although this whole night was epic, a funny highlight involved chali tuna from Jurrasic 5.
He was standing sort of backstage, but I could see him from where I was standing. It was in between a song, and I think I completely caught him off guard. I yelled "HIIII CHALI!!!" (haha) and to my suprise, he waves back and poses for a picture!(made my whole night)
At this specific show I was introduced to and fell in love with 2 rappers: Murs and Supernatural.
It may sound a little over the top, but believe me when i say raw underated talent.

I also recently attended a Vampire Weekend concert. The vibe was totally different than what I am used to. But it was fun nontheless. Always have an open mind about music and just enjoy it. I had a great time even though it wasn't the type of music or vibe I am used to.

All these nights were crazy! and are a great example of living life to the fullest and just having fun. I know that when i get older, I am going to be listening to my old "records" and feel awesome that when I was young I was lucky enough to have experienced these artists live.
Never hesitate to have fun! enjoy life and live it up and make some crazy memories. I know These experiences will stay in my memories forever, and I just hope that I am able to create more of them as I grow older.

9mm go bang

I seriously cannot wait for school to begin. I have way to much time on my hands.
so much that I started a blog (haha)
lately my days consist of working a couple of hours a week at blockbuster, watching movies, and tearing shit up on Gears of war.
The season of winter has been soo slow for me. no school, very little work and too much time to think.

Of course once classes start my optimism will probably go down the shitter, and I will probably long for my lazier days. but whatever. shit happens.
maybe I should occupy my time with a little bit of treadmill-ing it, but then again, it requires energy.

anywhoo, I am pretty excited for what the spring season may have in store for me.
school, more work and some pretty awesome concerts coming up.

I am mega excited because I am planning to go to the Paid Dues festival. Its underground hip hop at its best, the weather is warm and the music is the shit. Just my kind of atmosphere. The lineup has not been announced yet, but im sure its going to be tight.

also, Coachella is coming up. I hadn't given any thought to going to this concert, but this year sounds pretty damn awesome. on the first day, Jay-z is going to be the headliner, and on sunday Gorillaz will perform.

Jay-z has been on my lists of performers I would like to see live, so i was pretty pumped about him....UP until the part where i realized that it was more of a bigger deal that the Gorillaz are going to be performing. This being because Jay-z tours and will be around longer than the Gorillaz, aaannndddd because on the same sunday De La Soul will also be performing..thats 2 bands on my list!!!!! the tickets are pricey, but nothing beats these classic times. So Im going to try and make it to see the Gorillaz and De La soul-- two birds with one stone!

It actually feels pretty awesome when you finally get to see the bands and groups that you like live.
maybe you guys should try it sometime. The experience really makes you appreciate the music in a different way, and it makes you LOVE the artist to the second power!

I once thought that I would never get to see the blast master KRS-ONE, but when he walked up on stage, for some reason life felt complete.haha even if the hand i touched was sweaty and ashy.
the same went for Wu-tang clan, cypress hill, nas, and Rage against the machine.

never miss an opportunity to have fun and live life.

its what its all about : )

now playing-the fugees-how many mics

backpain!!

so i haven't blogged in a while. Soo typical me. to create a blog, and never blog (lol)
well this new year has brought along many changes. One, as you may all know, is leaving starbucks and beginning to work at Blockbuster.

Now that I'm past the horrible training experience at blockbuster, the fun has begun, and I am beginning to feel more comfortable. The people seem to be pretty great, and I'm enjoying the perks. I am on the other hand secretly having coffee withdrawals! luckily i still got the hookups.

Having all of this free time on my hands has really made me miss school. I cannot wait to get back in February(weird).

soo, to sum up the month of January.
a lot of change, a lot of movies and a lot of free time.

I am beginning to feel very optimistic about the month of February. Once again I will be busy and on the go as I should be.

p.s. I promise to have a more exciting blog
